Colombia supera los 18 millones de pasajeros aéreos en el primer cuatrimestre de 2025
Bogotá, mayo de 2025 – El transporte aéreo en Colombia sigue consolidándose como un eje fundamental para el desarrollo económico, social y turístico del país. Según cifras oficiales de la Oficina de Analítica de la Aeronáutica Civil, entre enero y abril de 2025 se movilizaron 18.223.000 pasajeros, lo que representa un crecimiento del 3,4% frente al mismo período de 2024. Esto equivale a más de 606.000 nuevos usuarios que optaron por el avión como medio de conexión entre regiones y destinos internacionales.
El dinamismo del sector también se refleja en el transporte de carga y correo, que registró un movimiento total de 326.046 toneladas en los primeros cuatro meses del año, con un aumento del 3,1% respecto al año anterior. En términos absolutos, se transportaron 9.771 toneladas más, facilitando operaciones logísticas claves para el comercio nacional e internacional.
“Las cifras del sector aéreo son muy positivas. Por primera vez en la historia, superamos los 18 millones de viajeros en los primeros cuatro meses del año. De estos, 7,8 millones fueron viajeros internacionales, es decir, 600 mil más que en el mismo periodo del año pasado, lo que también refleja el excelente momento que vive el turismo en el país”, señaló la ministra de Transporte, María Fernanda Rojas.
“Además, el transporte de carga registró un incremento de más de 9 mil toneladas frente a 2024, una señal clara de que la economía continúa en proceso de recuperación”, añadió.
Este panorama reafirma el papel estratégico del transporte aéreo como motor de conectividad, crecimiento económico y fomento del turismo. En un contexto de recuperación sostenida y consolidación como destino internacional, Colombia avanza en fortalecer su red aérea con más rutas, mayor infraestructura y confianza por parte de los viajeros y operadores.
